Randy got his start in music as most do; in the basements and garages of family & friend's houses.  Starting off on "the other white meat" in the rhythm section (bass guitar), it wasn't long before he traded his bass rig for a drum kit.  This led to various two piece setups with local guitarists until they would find a bassist and/or if they were lucky, a singer. Randy's first band was a punk outfit called "The Skate Disciples." He then moved into heavy metal with the band Fatality and later grunge with the band Antbed. He played Upstate New York clubs with the former and parts of South Carolina with the latter. Randy now finds himself trying to emulate some of the deepest grooves laid down on wax, most of which were recorded before he was even born! Married since 1996, he currently lives in West Columbia with his wife and two sons.
